Question №478
February 25, 2017
Tursun Izahunov | Almaty

How do you do! To my question about the time of opening of the traffic along “Almaty – Khorgos” section of the Western Europe – Western China corridor on this website at the beginning of this year, you have answered that the traffic has already been opened. However, as I’ve personally become convinced - it is not so. There are prohibitive signs of entry to this new road everywhere on the road. And the police are on duty around, they fine drivers for driving under prohibitory signs. Once the traffic on this section is already open, we ask for your assistance in changing the arrangement of traffic signs that prohibit entry.

Dear Tursun, as previously reported, “Almaty-Khorgos” section was opened to traffic at the end of 2016. For the current year, there is residual work on road furniture, during implementation of which some areas may be temporarily blocked in some places. The completion of all remaining work is expected at the end of June of this year.
